Veil: go private
Veiling moves a public token into Murk, where it becomes a private note only you can see. It's the first thing you do, and the entry point for everything else.
- Click Veil and pick a token and amount.
- Approve the transaction in your wallet.
- Done — that value is now private. Your balance updates in a few seconds.
Any Solana token you hold can be veiled. Veiling itself is a normal public transaction (you're funding the pool), so people can see that you deposited — but from that moment on, what you do with the funds is private.
Good to know
- Keep a little private SOL. Private sends, swaps, and reveals pay a small SOL fee from your private balance, so veil a bit of SOL to cover them.
- First veil registers you. The first time, Murk also registers your receive address so others can pay you privately — bundled into the same step, no extra click.
- Almost any token works. SPL Token and Token‑2022 are supported. The only exception is transfer‑fee ("taxed") tokens, which can't enter the pool.
