Stake privately
Earn Solana staking yield privately by holding a liquid‑staking token (LST) as a shielded note. Your staked balance — and the fact that you stake at all — stays hidden.
Steps
- Open Staking. You'll see the supported LSTs (JitoSOL, jupSOL, mSOL, INF, bSOL) with their APY, exchange rate, and liquidity.
- Press Manage on a token, choose Stake (or Unstake), enter an amount, and confirm.
- Staking swaps your SOL into the LST, held as a private note. Unstake anytime to swap back to SOL.
How it works
An LST (like JitoSOL) is a normal token whose value grows against SOL over time as staking rewards accrue — 1 JitoSOL is worth a little more SOL every epoch. There are no reward payouts to claim and nothing rebases; the note simply becomes worth more SOL.
That makes staking a perfect fit for a private pool: it's just a shielded swap (SOL → LST to stake, LST → SOL to unstake) with no reward events to track or reveal. No new program or proof is involved — the same swap rail does it all.
Your PnL — computed privately, on your device
The Staking page shows your balance and unrealized profit/loss per position. This is calculated entirely in your browser:
- Which LST notes you hold, their amounts, and when each was created never leave your device.
- The only thing fetched is public price data, and Murk fetches it for the whole LST list at once — so the request pattern never reveals which ones you actually hold. Live prices come through the relayer's Jupiter proxy; historical prices for cost basis come from a public price API.
- Cost basis = the price at the time each note was created (from its public on‑chain block time); current value = today's price. PnL is the difference. If an entry price can't be resolved, the figure is shown as partial rather than guessed.
Your spend key is never used or exposed for any of this — it's read‑only math.
Good to know
- APY is variable and not guaranteed; LSTs carry validator/protocol risk and can trade slightly below their redemption value.
- Unstaking is a swap, so it's subject to normal price/slippage; very large positions may be best unstaked in tranches.
- Staked positions appear in Balances → Staking and History → Staking.
- APY, exchange rates and prices are live. Where a price can't be established, Murk shows — and reports the PnL as partial rather than guessing.
